GROCERIES |
An ABC Store (similar to 7/11) is a 1 minute walk away. Directions:
Exit the building and then turn Left. The ABC store is on the corner. For large stores, in Ala Moana Shopping Center (5 minute drive) there is a large Foodland Farms grocery store, hours 5am to 11pm. Also inside the Target store they sell groceries, hours 8am to 11pm. |
TRASH |
There is no trash chute in the building. Trash bags can be throw away in the trash container outside the lobby by the parking gate. |
LAUNDRY |
A compact washer and dryer is in the unit. Laundry soap is under the kitchen sink. Please remember there is no maid service during your stay so you are responsible for your own wash. |
BEACH |
A top beach in Hawaii is Duke Kahanamoku beach less than a 10 minute walk
away
(please see map).
Duke Kahanamoku beach was rated as the 4th best beach in America
by www.drbeach.org. Another beach within a 10 minute walk is Ala Moana beach park. You can also drive since parking (free) is normally available except on weekends when it is more crowded. Drive directions: Exit the driveway then immediately move to the far Left Lane. Then turn Left at the Stop Light. For
snorkeling in the Waikiki area the best beach is either Kaimana
(Sans Souci) beach
or Queen's beach on the East (Diamond Head) end of Waikiki. Park by
Kapiolani park or the small street by the War Memorial Natatorium. |
POOL |
The pool is on the ground floor to the right side of the lobby. There is a pool bathroom and shower on the ground floor. The bathroom door entrance is in the corner to the right of the "WM" sign and to the left of the mail boxes. You need your FOB to enter. The FOB base in on the left side of the door. |
FITNESS
Room |
There is no fitness room in this building. Because of COVID the tennis court is closed now. |
SHOPPING |
Waikiki is filled with stores, restaurants and shopping areas. This condo is on the West (Ewa) side of Waikiki. It is about a 15 minute walk along the Duke Kahanamoku/Fort DeRussy beach walkway to Lewers Street.

Honolulu's main shopping center the Ala Moana Shopping Center which has a Macy's, Target, Bloomingdales and over 300 of other stores and restaurants. Ala Moana Center is the world's largest open-air shopping center. You are about a 10 minute walk to Ala Moana Center. Exit the building and turn right. There is a Wal-Mart and Sam's Club a block from Ala Moana Center on Keeaumoku Street. |
