PARKING

CHECKOUT

CHECK-OUT TIME is 11:00 AM

There is no need to meet with us on checkout. Please leave 1 FOB on the dining table and return the 2nd large parking FOB to the Lockbox downstairs. If you have a car please remember you will need the FOB to exit the parking gate.

Could you please text us that you have checked out so we can prepare for the next guest. Thank you.

Lost FOB: the building charges us $100.00 for the parking remote and $80 for the small FOB so this is your cost.

This is a NO Smoking apartment and building including the lanai.

LATE CHECK OUTS:
Please contact us if you need a late check out. We will try to accommodate you but it will depend primarily on when the next guest is arriving. Also we use a professional cleaning company so we may not be able to change their schedule.

GROCERIES
Snacks, drinks,
water

An ABC Store (similar to 7/11) is a 1 minute walk away. Directions: Exit the building and then turn Left. The ABC store is on the corner.
McDonalds is across the street from the ABC store.

There is a small supermarket called Food Pantry about a 2-3 minute walk. Exit building, turn Left and Left again at the corner (where the ABC store is). Walk up Hobron Lane for about a minute and turn Right at the end, after about 30 yards look to the left.

For large stores, in Ala Moana Shopping Center (5 minute drive) there is a large Foodland Farms grocery store, hours 5am to 11pm. Also inside the Target store they sell groceries, hours 8am to 11pm.

TRASH

There is no trash chute in the building. Trash bags can be throw away in the trash container outside the lobby by the parking gate.

LAUNDRY

A compact washer and dryer is in the unit. Laundry soap is under the kitchen sink. Please remember there is no maid service during your stay so you are responsible for your own wash.

BEACH

A top beach in Hawaii is Duke Kahanamoku beach less than a 10 minute walk away (please see map). Duke Kahanamoku beach was rated as the 4th best beach in America by www.drbeach.org.  
Directions: Exit building and turn Left to the corner and cross the street to McDonalds then cross the street again toward the ocean, Red Lobster is on the right. Walk straight down and then turn Left. Walk for about 2-3 minutes and you will see an opening to a walk path in the chain link fence.

Another beach within a 10 minute walk is Ala Moana beach park. You can also drive since parking (free) is normally available except on weekends when it is more crowded. Drive directions: Exit the driveway then immediately move to the far Left Lane. Then turn Left at the Stop Light.

For snorkeling in the Waikiki area the best beach is either Kaimana (Sans Souci) beach or Queen's beach on the East (Diamond Head) end of Waikiki. Park by Kapiolani park or the small street by the War Memorial Natatorium.

There are also over 100 beaches all over Oahu.

POOL

The pool is on the ground floor to the right side of the lobby. There is a pool bathroom and shower on the ground floor. The bathroom door entrance is in the corner to the right of the "WM" sign and to the left of the mail boxes. You need your FOB to enter. The FOB base in on the left side of the door.

FITNESS Room
and Tennis court

There is no fitness room in this building. Because of COVID the tennis court is closed now.

SHOPPING

Waikiki is filled with stores, restaurants and shopping areas. This condo is on the West (Ewa) side of Waikiki. It is about a 15 minute walk along the Duke Kahanamoku/Fort DeRussy beach walkway to Lewers Street.

Honolulu's main shopping center the Ala Moana Shopping Center which has a Macy's, Target, Bloomingdales and over 300 of other stores and restaurants. Ala Moana Center is the world's largest open-air shopping center. You are about a 10 minute walk to Ala Moana Center. Exit the building and turn right.

There is a Wal-Mart and Sam's Club a block from Ala Moana Center on Keeaumoku Street.

BUS, UBER/LYFT

The Bus schedules are here http://www.thebus.org/  There is a bus stop across the street in front of the Ilikai Hotel heading East into Waikiki and in front of McDonalds heading West. A good map app for bus routes is from https://www.openstreetmap.org

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Here are 2 companies that handle luggage storage:
waikikibaggagestorage.com where you just drop off and pick up your bags. They are located at 417 Nahua Street. If you give them this code "Aloha Bags" they will give you a 25% discount.

yourconnectionhawaii.com will pick up and drop off your bags anywhere. They also offer airport transportation services.

MEDICAL

Doctors of Waikiki, ph. (808) 922-2112. They have an on-call service and they also have an urgent care walk-in clinic.

Longs Drug Store (owned by CVS) has a 24 hour Waikiki Store at
2155 Kalakaua Ave, Pharmacy Hours M-F 8a-7p, Sat/Sun 9a-6p. They also have a store in Ala Moana Shopping Center.
